About

Headshots. Let’s face it: nobody* likes posing for them – and with good reason. Most of us have seen plenty of photographs of ourselves that are not flattering. And while you might forgive grandma’s bad timing, composition, or lighting, plenty of so-called ‘professional’ headshots are pretty diabolical, too. So when you pose in front of the camera, you’re putting quite a bit of trust in the photographer.

True Specialists

We don’t do actor head shots, weddings, or shopping centre glamour portraits. Corporate photography is what we do well.

Headshot “Toolbox” assures great results

The good news is, we have a whole ‘toolbox’  –  of posing tips, lighting, professional camera equipment, Photoshop (yes, Photoshop), and most of all, the experience of creating thousands of headshots – to make the experience easy, if not enjoyable. One little thing we do that makes a big difference for some nervous subjects, is to have a digital workstation hooked up to the camera as we shoot. The photographs appear within seconds, and the ‘model’ can either be reassured that they’re looking great – or give feedback on any aspects of the image they’re concerned about, so that we can try some different poses which may work better. Each person can also participate in choosing their own favourite shots from the session – no surprises! Fifteen years, thousands of pictures, and continuous research have helped us to put together a ‘bag of tricks’ of the best poses for a flattering jaw line (minimising double chins). Finally, we mix in some subtle retouching to reduce lines and wrinkles, bags under the eyes, bloodshot eyes, spots, yellow teeth, etc – all done so that it still looks natural and you still look like yourself (not some kind of 1980’s Wall Street corporate caricature).

From your everyday staff to the CEO

We have photographed the guy who loads the trucks, the CEO, and everyone in between. Whether it’s for employee boards for your foyer and/or tea room; company website or LinkedIn profiles; client proposals; or the annual report, everybody deserves a head shot! Having a professional headshot can help staff to feel like a valued member of the team, and the professionalism that good headshots add to your marketing materials is worth the cost, many times over!

Your boardroom turns into a studio in under 30 minutes

To keep our overheads low and pass those savings on to you, we work entirely on location. We can convert their boardroom into our photo studio in under thirty minutes, and this has the obvious benefit of minimising lost productivity; Your people need only be away from their desk for less than ten minutes – plus they’ll be photographed “on their own turf”, in an environment they’re already comfortable with. And of course you don’t need to worry about the logistics and cost of transporting people to and from a studio.

If you are concerned about privacy, need an excuse to get out of the office, or want to give your staff the full “photo studio experience”, we can arrange to hire a local photo studio, at additional cost. For details, get in touch.

An impressive background

No, not your C.V. – the colour that will appear behind you in your headshots! While white is the most popular and versatile background, other colours can be ordered and may carry a small additional cost. Please advise your preferred colour at the time of booking.

Rock-solid guarantee

We’re so confident of creating headshot photographs that you’re satisfied with, that we are super-comfortable giving a 100% no-fee guarantee. If your photographs are not at least as good as you expected, we’ll either re-shoot them at our expense, or we will not bill you (your choice).
